8yrs old PC died.

Looking to build a new PC.

1. Is it worth paying more for 2070 Super as 5700XT is having some driver issues?
2. Which is a better HDD for 6-10TB in terms of reliability and value for money?
3. Which is a good casing that can fit at least 3-4 3.5inch HDD?
4. Is a third party cpu cooler essential for ryzen 3600?
5. Should B450 tomahawk be unavailable, what’s the next best alternative? B550 tomahawk?

Good thing about B550 is that it has 2 M2 slots just nice for the cheap WD 750.

Using this PC for gaming like COD and WOW.

1. Subjective. The driver issue doesn't affect everyone so it is hard to say if it is driver issue or hardware incompatibility or conflicting softwares.
2. HDD is competitively priced, there isn't really any value of money HDD locally.
3. I am using Fractal Design Defined R series, the new series dropped the "R" and simply called it "7". It can fit a lot of HDD.
4. A cheapo cooler like hyper 212 would do just fine.
5. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...qVxdCR9daIVNyMatydkpFA/htmlview#gid=611478281

You should check if 3200mhz cl16 ram is cheaper or not, it is similar speed to your current choice.

1. For GPU, what driver issues? Is it going to affect how you use your PC?
2. HDD got the reliability study performed. U can minimise your “luck” by choosing the lower failure rate drives. Then next For value for money, then divide the price by per TB to make decision.

3.If you going to have 3-4HDD, then i would recommend casing with hotswappable drive bays.
It’s better to go SLS and level by level comb. U can Google online which I did and spent so much time and later go SLS, don’t have them.
4. & 5. I can’t give advices.

Just a thought,.. I would build the new system since you do not have a working PC and use back the existing GPU (if that still works) until the 3000 series NVidia is launched.

Agree on point 1 but it’s hard to avoid if we don’t know what’s causing the issue. Just afraid that I might be the “lucky” one.

For HDD don't get the WD Blue 6TB (WD60EZAZ) using SMR instead of CMR.

This SMR issue like not picked up by many ppl.

Even WD Red is SMR. You have to look at Ironwolf series as even Seagate Barracuda also using SMR.

Can google WD SMR, Seagate SMR, Toshiba SMR.

2070 Super better you don't want to test your luck if got the 5700XT issue. Galax 2070 Super think even cheaper but pink colour.
