Hi folks, i am planning to build a new gaming rig with a $1400-$1500 budget. Don't intend to overclock. Below are the parts I need and shortlisted. Need some advice on compatibility and value for money and so on. Especially GPU, undecided between Palit or Gigabyte....? I dont need monitor and HDD, i already have 4 WD HDD that I will put in.

CPU and Mobo: core i5-4670 and MSI B85M-G43
Ram: G. Skill DDR3 1600MHz 2 x 4GB
GPU: Palit GTX760 or Gigabyte GTX760?
SSD: Plextor M5 Pro 128GB
Power supply: FSP Aurum 92+ Platinum PT-550M 550W. Any more value for money alternative?
Casing: can recommend a silent casing? I quite like CM HAF 912 advance.
Wireless adapter: can recommend one? Am using Singtel fibre at home.
OS: Win7 Home Premium 64 bit

Thanks.

Change ram to Kingston/G.Skilll value ram.

For gpu, I will recommend Gigabyte Windforce. Their non reference cooler is pretty good and has longer warranty period than Palit.

For psu, FSP Platinum 550W is quite value for money. If you want slightly cheaper psu, can opt for Seasonic S12 or M12 520W bronze rating psu.

For casing, a good silent case to consider is Fractal Design R4. It is made with sound dampening material to minimize noise.

Thanks.

Go for palit if you are those type keep changing and upgrading your components often. Go for the Gigabyte variant if you are those type that will not bother till the product is dead.

For value PSU, can always try the Thermaltake Smart SE 630W Bronze Modular PSU. Around $95 can get. Cheapest modular by far.

Using it and love the flat cables. Very easy to manage.

For casing i agree with Nipppon bro. The Fractal Design R4 White or Black is one of the best case out there with noise dampening material.

Personally went down to check. Its finishing is also very superb.

thanks bro nippon and royfrosty for your replies! just the thought of buying a new rig already makes me really excited. My last build was almost 4 years ago. For GPU I will go with Gigabyte, PSU will stick to FSP, and casing will be Fractal R4! cheers!
