Building new gaming rig

Hi guys,

I am building a new rig to replace my old one. I will be using it mostly to play games such as battlefield 4 and other FPS. Hope to get some input from you guys

My budget is $1000.

Not required: monitor, mouse, keyboard, optical drive, hdd (WD Black 1TB), ssd (Crucial M500 240GB).

Need either coaxial (preferred) or optical out for audio.

As for casing, I have limited space so I have shortlisted the following: Corsair Spec-01, Fractal Core 3000, Sharkoon T28, Corsair 200R. (not sure which is ideal. Prefer cooling and quiet, no light or window required).

Thanks for the advice guys. I also understand that there is a haswell refresh. Any advantage for getting that instead?

Also, I don't really intend to DIY as I have not done that in many years. Does tradepac do assembling?

Tradepac does quite shoddy business practices. If you want buy or do assembling do it at PC Themes.

oh oops, I was looking at the G skill rip jaws CL 9, didn't notice the normal ones. Are those rip jaws worth if i'm not oc-ing?

nope, actually just get a normal 1600 8gb g.skill or crucial ram, which ever is cheaper. They perform the same actually are you can't see that tiny split second of difference
