Hi guys, I will be building a new PC for gaming, watching movies etc, and based on other similar threads, I should be following this suggested build (credits - royfrosty):

Msi b85m g43 + i5-4460
Crucial 8gb 1600mhz value ram
WD Blue 1tb
Crucial mx100 256gb
Powercolor r9 280x 3gb turbo duo
Superflower hx600 600w 80+ gold semi modular psu
Sharkoon bd28
LG dvd drive
Windows 7 home premium 64bit oem

However, my PC will be located on the 2nd level of my house and there are no wired access points available. What will be the options available to me? Should I include a wireless adapter or something? (I have dual band Asus RT-AC66U router)

Thanks! :)

Whats your overall budget. If you got additional $100 more you could land yourself a zotac gtx970.

For your case if you choose to use wifi, most probably you will still get 2.4ghz channel. 5ghz you will need the aid of extenders.

My overall budget is around 1400, but can push abit more if really worth it.

My router is placed at the stairs, about 10m linear distance away from the PC in my room, so I think it should be within range. (If that's what you mean?)

If you are playing those graphic intensive games you can invest on the gtx970. But let'ssay you are just playing normal gaming not so intensive then you can settle for a 280x.

If wired is still not possible then you might wanna get a good receiver such as Intel ac7260 either from amazon or cybermind.
