Building New Rig ($1.4k ++)

Hi all, I'm building a new rig mainly for gaming on a single 27" 1080p hdmi monitor. I dont think I will upgrade to higher dp monitor in near future unless there is a steep drop in price.

PC will be used for
Games playing : CS:GO, FF XiV, Guild Wars 2, Dragon nest and other steam MMORPG games
Emulators: Mainly Android emulators for mobile games like: Brave Frontier, Seven Knight, Valiant Force, FF series and etc..
Drama, Movies, shows, torrenting and etc


CPU & Motherboard:
i5 7600 + ?Motherboard

CORSAIR VENGEANCE 1600MHZ ( 8GBx2pcs ) 16GB ($179) PCthemes

GFx Card:

No need Keyboard, mouse or monitor.
Must have:

i5 processor
>400GB SSD
>3TB HDD
at least 1060 Gfx card
16GB ram

I'm still looking at casing, I need a Matx casing that can house 3 x 3.5" HDD + 1 x 2.5"SSD, size-wise similar to Cooler Master N200 would be great (Dimensions (H x W x D)
14.90" x 7.90" x 17.50"
378.46mm x 200mm x 444mm )

Any other things I should consider? CPU cooler? Casing fan? Radiator?

Why would you need so many 3.5 hard drives?

Anyway, here's what I come up with.

- Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 ($129)
- Gigabyte GA-H110M-DS2 + i5-7500 ($405, remember ask for BIOS update to use kaby processor or otherwise upgrade at distro or downgrade a little to i5-6500)
- Kingston Valueram DDR4 2133MHz 2x8GB ($170)
- Superflower Leadex Silver 550w ($119)

Total: $1554
Pricing from pc theme as well. The rest use what you already quoted.

Not sure price okay with you or not since your budget is 1.4k++

Value ram work the same. No difference from gaming ram at a basic h110 board.

Casing have 3 included fans. Don't need more to be honest. 2 intake 1 exhaust will work perfectly.

Superflower leadex silver is an overall better psu than corsair one while priced the same. You don't need 600w for this setup. In fact, even 450w will work fine. 550w is already overkilled.

Xigmatek frontliner is good choice got 3 fans. Great looking, vaue for money.

Ts want matx ma. I suggest matx lor. I also know xigmatek cheaper bro. Not many matx have more than 2x 3.5" Drive Bay.

Hi, I currently have 2 x 3 TB HDD and only left around 600GB space (Movies, Drama, Animes, MTV and etc) so I intend to get one more 3TB so in total I would have 3 x 3.5" 3TB HDD.

I wanted to get a casing that is smaller than my current N200, but I'm afraid that they do not have enough space for my 3 HDD + 1 SDD..

Wa... so much for media meh? More than I use for my rendering Sia... if u use so much then might as well invest in NAS. That way u can have more features such as Hot swap and access across multiple devices as Long have network access. Split ur various hard drives according to purpose, anime, movie, music, prawns and abalone.

That way u won't be so restricted to case also.

I was considering about NAS and last saw the NAS that suits my need is around $400/-+ (Synology DS 416) excluding the HDD.. So decided to do away with NAS lol..
