Hi guys,
Anyone familiar with specs required for UG NX (Full Software Name: NX410000 Mach Advantage)?

Need to build one for my office, to do mold design on UG's 3D CAD.
Trying to keep in my budget of $2k or less.

I am guessing I need i7, 16gb ram, and a decent GPU.

Any suggestions would be helpful

I'm running UG NX 7.5 on my Ryzen system. See no advantage over Intel or whatever. Same same overall.

I'm doing mold design as well. File assembly as big as 300mb for certain designs.

The problem with UG NX is it doesn't utilize resources very well.

From a laptop i5 to a desktop Xeon 6-core workstation at work, all can run. Using i7 or i5 desktop, I see no improvement, maybe except in animation/simulation but I don't always use them.

Another funny thing about 16GB RAM. I never fully utilize it as well. Software crash before even hitting 6GB of RAM usage lol

System like Ryzen or Xeon, works better though, with lesser complication with the GPU as the CPU doesn't come with iGPU unlike Intel Core i counterparts.
