Morning everyone ,

This is my transport plan. Just need to check, do I need to buy the train ticket in SG first or just walk into the station and buy ?
Kawaguchiko to mishima - by bus - 2 hrs
Mishima to Kyoto - bullet train - 2 hrs
Kyoto to Tokyo - bullet train - 2 hrs

Thanks in advance

depends on the time you need to ride. from my experience last nov, I bought online and collect ticket on site. But still a lot of empty seat. Their train is about 5 minutes interval so should be quite safe

Thanks Addats, traveling with a toddler. So just need to minimize waiting or unnecessary delays.

Walk to the station and look for Midori no Madoguchi みどりの窓口 or Shinkansen ticket reservation counter 新幹線指定席. If you’re travelling during the high season, it might be better to buy your tickets a few days ahead.

Traveling mid march. May take your advise to buy earlier. BTW the ticket is tied to specific timing or can take any time train?

former.

Please have enough time gap. please choose kodama services on Tokaido Shinkansen line since you are coming from Mishima.

I advise you to buy online with your cc on jr central's app if not using jr pass
