Buy or rent my tech?

I've been wanting to get my hand on the latest iPhone. But i'm not sure if it's worth buying one from the retail market. It's like close to $2k !?! I do change my phone quite often, so i'm toying with the idea of renting the phone for a year or smth. Thoughts?

As tech depreciates very quickly, the "monthly charge" for rental won't be cheap.

In the end you might actually be better off buying, then selling.

And since iPhone 13 series has been out for almost half a year now, street prices is probably a few hundreds lower, and I'm talking about brand new units.

I have the same struggle with Hui En, plus I don't like to sell tech over Carousell where there're lowballers etc. Any other marketplaces you'd suggest to sell?

Rental doesn't sound like a bad idea if they cover my device insurance. I often buy AppleCare even with my phone. Maybe Hui En you could wait for iPhone 14?
