Buying 13" Macbook Pro 2015

Hi, need some advise on buying macbook as I did not see any thread on this topic.

1) Going to pay in installments. Any idea which electronic shops has best installment plans for macbook?(maybe just 6 mths)

2) How much is applecare? I read over here everyone is recommending apple care as the parts are expensive to replace if they are spoilt.

3) Any software or hardware discount if im buying as a uniSIM student?

4) would buying online from apple sg better or buy from shops better? I dont tink Apple SG accepts installment plan anyway right?

If you are a student, you can purchase at a slighted discounted price at Apple Education Store.

I read that Apple store does provide some finance plan. It will be best if you call them.

It is advisable to get the AppleCare together with your machine. Can always check the price at the Apple online store.

If you can wait, the PC Show is on next month and you can check with the various authorised retailers if there is any promotion. Usually, the machine price is fixed where as AppleCare and certain software may be discounted.

i think apple online only accept Citibank CC for instalment plans so if you want to utilise other CC i think most authorised retailers do accept, you may want to check with them separately.

The educational discount from Apple should be a good deal including the apple care unless you prefer those freebies given during PC shows. Apple care can be purchased anytime before the default one year warranty expire.

From both ur info, i manage to calculate its cheaper to buy rMBP 13" 256GB + Apple care at $200 cheaper at apple education store than normal apple site!

On top of that i have citibank card and i can pay in installment at apple.com.sg!

Seems like this is the most effective way to buy as compared to buying from electronic stores.

dont forget the refurbised store (though no installment )
the rMBP 13" just had a restocked and their prices just slashed further from the previous restocked of the refurbished. Check out the 2.8ghz 512gb with 16gb ram model.. its $2078 ! its a steal man. plus u can buy student apple care at $278.
again this deal do not have installment.

your options are ( considering your installment options )

-wait for the PC show and buy the rMBP and get the freebies (which probably may or may not be useful to you ) and then take up the installment plan.

-take the student plans from apple shop sg directly and save some moolah and take the citibank cc installment directly from apple. (no freebies)

-visit the refurbished store and save lots more moolah but no installment. The amount of money saved can buy the freebies with leftover !

Epicentre, Nubox, they also usually sell with lot of freebies (sleeve, external harddisk, mouse, etc..) so in a way, the cost of the machine is about the same. Unless you don't need those freebies..

When asking around to see what the best deal was when I was getting my rMBP recently, What I got from Sapura was they have either Maybank or Citibank 6 months interest free installment plan. There will be additional one time 3% admin charge for processing. In the end settle with online Apple store 13" rMBP 256GB with 16GB RAM currently processing

not too bad... for the 16gb ram version, wait out for it....it will come back. its about $20?8

For the Apple Store, if you have a Citibank credit card, you could arrange to pay by installments for purchases above a certain amount. Please call Apple Singapore to check.

Manage to get a MBPr + applecare for $2136 at Apple Education Store with citibank installment.

Ordered yesterday and today receive my MBPr liao. The apple customer service is damn good. Will call and update me on order and delivery status, even give me his contact so I can find him directly for any enquiries.

Top notch service from DHL express too as they will call me before they deliver. They can also reschedule for me if im not at home.
