buying a low power build

online pricelist do not indicate T series CPU from Intel.
no shop sell T series with mITX board?

Nowadays T cpus not really popular though. Be it sg or in other countries.

T series i remember the last seen cpu was the old ivy bridge series sold locally. And it has no igpu in it.

But what is your reasons to go for a low powered kind? When there are a few other options out there instead.

Low Power

Just buy a K proc and underclock / volt it to simulate a T or S series CPU
or
Google for the J3455 / N3160 ITX boards

Low power but sufficient processing power
An always on build. For PS ready for photos and browsing. I can rather Savage my existing gpu which I may doubt so.

My current pic idling near 97w with ivys bridge CPU. Running SSD. Avg gpu card HD6670 old already.4*4gb memory.

Get the newer Gemini lake j4xxx instead of the 3xxx. Basically more power at the same price and tdp.

The j4105 is more bang for buck. J5005 is about 10% better for about 40 bucks more

For it's TDP, yes. If not Pentium is better.

ya to be precise i wan a low TDP. yet has the power for basic video + good photo editing capability. Always on demand, browsing. photo editing be like 40-50% of the time.

i am surprised that i5-6600 or the T series not popular. NUC, i rather not as its a all in one.

if you want to build, look for gemini lake at newegg singapore.disadvantage is ddr4 expensive. You can use previous gen for ddr3.

for me im using previous 2 gen n3150 with hdd and ssd attached. total power consumption is 15 watt. No need display can use remote desktop on phone.

If you want even cheaper, z8350 mini desktop are just $100 in lazada. just attached usb 3 hdd and you can torrent for less than 5watt
