Hi,

Been hearing a lot about buying a bike from Taipei is almost half the price of SG. Esp their local brand like Giant and etc. Anyone can share their experience and where is the best place to source for a bike in Taipei? How to pack it so that its easy to fly back? Do they provide such a service? Am really keen to flying over for a few days and get one Giant MTB back. Thanks.

I think adding in the shipping cost...it will be close to the price you get here...

Giant bicycle practically has no discount at their outlets unless selected models for clearance. Not sure if you can get from other retailers. Just get the largest baggage size from your airline and check in. A bicycle should weigh 12 - 20kg. Their 2015 models have just released.

Ask them to tune the bike then put back inside the box. Then check in the box. Prices are on their TW giant website. Make sure tubes are deflated.

When collecting your bicycle from the belt, please note that it will be at the odd size belt and not the designated numbered belt.

Camping here for more info too.
I have heard that some folks in the bicycle industry over there (guides, dealers, etc) are able to get the bikes at pretty substantial discounts from list prices.
