Yes. But to gwt to SGD u can go over to amazon Sg to get it to SGD. Or u tell them the shipping address is SG and they will convert for u.

Pay in usd is better than paying in sgd.

Agree. The conversion rate is poor if you pay in SGD. If you are worried about fluctuating exchange rate, you can purchase their gift card balance reload. Normally when you pay for the items, Amazon will only charge to your card after a week or more just before they ship the items out. When you buy the gift card balance reload, they will charge your card 2 to 3 days later. So less likely for the exchange rate to go against your favor.

One thing to note, if you pay in sgd to Amazon you will still get charged from admin fee. Reason being Amazon will charge you in USD using their rates.

Example, normal rate is 1.34. Amazon is 1.38. Amazon will charge their item normal price convert 1.38. Then that amount convert back to USD via 1.34 rate, charge you in USD that amount. Bank will charge you 1% admin fee.

So if you wanna pay in sgd, use ratex. At least it's a Singapore based company so no conversion charges. If not stick with USD only.

Paying in foreign currency will also tio some charges, although still less compared to DCC. RateX does seem to be the best option. When I compare their offered rate at point of purchase, it seems to be on par with the prevalent exchange rate before the foreign currency fee is applied. Which means you save that 2%+.

Pay with USD is better.

If you pay with SGD, amazon exchange rate is more then what the credit card would charge you.

Cheers.

example today you google search

1 usd to sgd is 1.34

you pay in USD let the bank decide exchange rate , will need 3% more , or 1.38

you pay by amazon in singapore dollars , is about 5 or 6% more , or 1.40

you pay by ratex , they claim to be same as google , but it's not true , still 1% , or 1.35

I have used Amazon's UPS shipping in a couple of occasions. No issue. However for motherboard wise need to compare the price difference between US and SG. I wanted to buy from Amazon but think that the extra $80 can get be covered in Sg so I did not buy from Amazon.
