Buying CPU From Newegg

Hi ,

Recently AMD 5900X CPU like hotcake everyway , very hard to get locally ...
but notice Newegg will restock very frequent now day ..

Thinking to get one from Newegg, but worry about the warranty of the AMD CPU .


If not mistake AMD CPU is covered 3yrs international warranty . If let's said heng heng the CPU bought from newegg got issue within this 3 yrs .... can I claim RMA from local AMD ?

international warranty means can apply on amd website for rma if anything wrong, then if they agree likely is u bring down to their ubi office and they send back for u. so is not apply through local distro. not 100% sure if its like this but this is from what i read around here so if im wrong can feel free to correct me

anyway for cpu no need to worry. usually will work properly out of the box and very hard to die. never heard of anyone needing to rma cpu except for like first gen product.

When you request for an rma. They will have the courier to pick it up from you. When the rma is done they will send it back to your address.

Turn around time about 5 days to a week.

Just like intel cpus.

Newegg ships out the CPU nice and safe too in a spacious cardboard box with airpack bags.

Let all scalpers wait long long for stupid carrots to chop, pls don't support any of them.

CPUs very hard to spoilt , but be very gentle when u are handling AMD CPUs as it is quite common for ppl to break or bend the pins underneath AMD CPUs

My experience are my motherboards, RAMs, graphics cards, PSUs, HDDs , monitors will spoilt before any of my Intel or AMD CPUs die...

Really got so many people need to use 5900x, 5950x? If for work just get Dreamcore, Aftershock, etc. under business expense anyway.

For fun one lah. Also I do a bit of development sometimes, parallel processing. So it’s nice to have more cores.

as another bro pointed out, is chai chee, can see along pie. not sure why i thought is ubi tech dynamic right beside it if not mistaken haha.
but again if u buy from newegg of course is not local stock (shipped from overseas), so not covered by local distro.
