buying from Hidevolution?

not sure if this is the right forum section for this kind of question.
If it isn't, mods pls just move this thread accordingly.

Question is: has anyone bought laptops from hidevolution?
How to send them to Singapore? Use Hidevolution's own shipping or send to a Vpost (or equivalent) forwarding address and then use that to ship to Singapore?

Finally, how about GST? Is there no way around that besides sucking it up and paying extra 7% ?

I haven't bought anything from hidevolution but I have used VPost before. My advise is to not use their service. They prohibit shipping for any item that contains a battery. They would give you the choice to return to the seller or destroy the item in the overseas Warehouse.

I can't comment on other forward shipping agencies.

IMO, I would rather pay more buying locally so that I won't have to worry on voltage converters/lack of local warranty.

However, if you wish to buy from hidevolution, they do have a store in Amazon US. You can ship to Singapore with Amazon itself. It's pricy but you won't have to worry on battery checks & etc.

Regarding GST, that's inevitable for this kind of item. Any product declared more than $400 are subject to GST Charge.

Hidevolution also has their own courier service, so there is no practical issue with shipping from them to SG, so it was just a question from financial standpoint.
