May I check if anyone of you purchased a TV from bhphoto before? How was the experience? After looking around, price seem pretty attractive and direct shipping cost seem reasonable.

Guys has anyone imported a p65-f1 vizio tv to sg? Concerned about the 110v 60hz power rating. Some tvs are 60-50hz. Our power is 50hz, will the tv have issues operating?

Just share my experience buying TV from overseas. Bought a Hisense LED55E5U 55-inch smart TV from tmall.com last year.

Item+shipping+GST = ~S$500
The seller also sent me a wall mount bracket and a extension socket with USB for free

So far so good. The only inconvenience is that it's not using a SG plug, so I use a adapter.

Hi, I’m currently stationed in the US and will be relocating back to SG soon. I would like to know if the Samsung QLED tv nowadays come with dual voltage? I wanna buy 1 and ship it back (if it is dual voltage) since it’s included in my relocation package.

those packing in wooden planks $300, shipping by sea $550 for 1 cubic metre, $450 for 2 cubic metres, add charge for electrical products $100, this tv will be over 1 m3,so $450+300+100 = estimated $950 for entire freight charge. You have to pay 7% gst upfront to freight company $6000*0.07 = $420

So est charge plus tv price = 950+420+6000 = CNY 7370 / 5.03 >x change rate for sample purpose= S$1,465.21

Any faults, get local service which may add up more. the warranty costs money to run, that is why price is much higher. Who pays for 1 to 1 exchange? all buyers > like insurance, 1 claim among eg 100 buyers.

If you choose air freight, you have to get the measurement of entire carton from the dealer l x w x h /6000 = freight weight (not actual product package weight) X rate for electrical products >> from 11 kg is $32 per kg, from 31 kg, rate is $31 per kg. Note no wooden packing protection here unless you ask for it and pay it. Then, the measurement will base on size of wooden packing.

Hope this helps you in your choice. search 集运新加坡 on taobao.com, then search 梦枫旗舰店。this shipper has the best rate and it is efficient even now with reduced flights.

For me, I have been sitting on the fence watching those tvs on Tmall for 3 years, with so much features but I will buy locally for warranty and service convenience.

Just in case anyone is interested, I am using the TV in sg with a transformer happily for half a year, tv receiver does not work but I do not have any use of it. Some smart TV functions do not work as it is not in the correct region but chromecast/smartcast is enough for me.

What did you use to import in? Which forwarder and how much did the charges add up to?

I brought it back with me when I relocated back to SG, sorry cannot help with forwarder option/charges.

Previously, LG TVs sold in US were labelled as 110-240V, which means I could bring them back and use directly without transformer, and indeed I did bring back one.
But now the LG TVs sold in US are labelled 110V.
I am reading in other forums that the underlying parts are actually capable of dual voltage 110-240V but they can't do that due to legislation etc. Is anyone familiar or aware? Similarly, are there other brands that anyone know / tried bringing in from the US and can work without transformer?
Any help appreciated!
