I just came back from Tokyo just 2 days back and bought 1 tamron wide 10 - 24mm 3.5-4.5, 1 tamron macro 90 mm 2.8, 1 camera batt all under 1k. Made In japan as well, it was ridiculously cheap. However, it is local warranty so you have to be really careful. Some shops do however sell it with international warranty so you gotta check with them. Also, never buy lens from the major shops like yodobashi and bic camera even though they are EVERYWHERE. The prices are marked way higher. You can go check out shinjuku as they have a wide range of lenses there. Gonna take you a good eye and navigation skills to look for the shops though.

I usually buy from Amazon.
Here is a list of Tamron Lens..
Tamron Lens

I find USA have better quality control on a lot of stuff... Or they just give USA better export sets?.. donno...

Some are cheaper some are not. U have to do ur homework to compare.for sg prices call the shops. For Japan prices can go to Map camera or fujiya camera website for their published (non nego)price. For HK prices go to 香港格價網 Price.com.hk

Prices are always changing. Eg the Sony a7/7r used to be few hundreds cheaper in hk. But recently when sg dropped the price, it's same.
