Buying motherboards from amazon

Does it cost a lot to ship back a standard atx mobo for rma if any problems? I think amazon has free shipping for over $150 now? And the older generation models have dropped price a lot.

i think it is fine if you wanna do it, but main point is, can you wait for the time spent sending it and waiting for it to come back, and the anxiety you have wondering if the MOBO is being delivered safely etc.

i buy SSD from amazon items like this that my CPU can still function if in the case it is spoilt etc

Any idea how long it takes? Other than total shipping time which takes maybe less than 2 weeks, repair time should not be longer than local distros?

And I'm more concerned about the cost. This will be a non-critical usage PC

We can ship it back to the source directly, but can they ship back directly? ie from repair centre straight to sg?

The cost to ship via forwarder is expensive as compared to local. Local tradepac is cheaper with their mobo plus cpu bundle.

Do take note it is costly to send back the mobo to america as it is big in size and slightly heavy.

Mobo is the last thing you can think of buying from amazon. Unless it is really dirt cheap.

1150/1155 mobos dun qualify for fssg. At most 1-5 mobo only.... you are better off getting in sg.

You are sorely mistaken if you think that free shipping applies to anything above $125.

And you are thinking of buying a motherboard, not a really wise choice considering the random nature of it breaking down or suffering from unknown weird issues.

I bought my 990fx board from amazon BUT it doesn't quality for free shipping, let alone international shipping. I had to use borderlinx to ship it over. I bought a chunk of items so it saves on overall cost.

As mentioned in this forum. If anything goes wrong, you're in your own.
