Buying new iphone - advice needed

Hey guys! I need some inputs from you guys about buying a new iphone. I know that they are people who sell telco new sets at a cheaper price here, but is it safer to just order it online @ 988? I've heard about warranty issues with telco sets like need the owner to come down....
Also is AppleCare+ worth it?

I prefer telco under my own name or apple direct, difference is too small to be worth worrying about future issues.

U can call apple n check if u can go to them directly instead of telco
AppleCare plus normally no issue coz they only check purchase date. Within thirty days n pass their test then ok Liao

Some buy coz recon tract. I think is ok if u can go down on spot check n buy Frm there. Get receipt etc too

Better don't buy from people who sell telco new sets at a cheaper price
Cos telco check my Nric when I exchange for a refurbished set

Must impt must have the telco receipt when buying people's telco set... Think it is a MUST to claim warranty.

Compared to apple store set, I think savings are substantial, $988 vs $840-$860.
