buying new lens

hi forumers...

a newbie here whom have been shooting with my kit lens..hope you bear w my noob qns..

am looking to buy 1-2 new lens to add some variety to my shooting and just wondering if the shops in peninsula etc allow u to try the lenses before purchase? as there are so many options available and despite having narrowed down my choices, the best way to decide is to test it out first.

i contacted a store and the guy told me that he can let me try if i commit to buying 1 lenses from him? is that a norm?

I just thought shops would have sample lens out there to help customers decide.

Sony has a huge showroom at 313 that u can try out various lenses

Fuji also has one at Funan 4F

Canon lens, you can try in Showroom(s).
For Funan shops, once you commit and pay money, then they open the box and let you "connect" to your camera and test.
If there is any failure, think they will change a new one and for you.

good luck! meanwhile what I do is read reviews in the net and youtube where other experts do testing with the lens you may be looking for.
