Are there any recommended places to get previous iterations of mac computers for cheap? Eg. Last year's model of iMac.

Yup only two options, refurb/2nd hand. Unless you willing ship from overseas, Singapore resellers don't sell previous gen models. That said, Challenger was selling a year older model just last year IIRC.

just get from e refurb online store. same peace of mind warranty...
