Buying Razer laptop

Hi i just saw a promotion on razer website giving 20% off for their laptops(student only). so now razer blade 128 ssd cost about 2.1k and 256 ssd about 2.3k (after discount). Do you guys think is worth it to buy? what would be the power plug they send me would it be any warranty issues? pls advice.

Get the version with the lowest ssd storage and buy a aftermarket one to add on. Cheaper. though, i am one of the people who thinks that razer is awfully overpriced and would suggest u to get a MSI or Asus

i do agree with you that it is awfully overpriced. if without this 20% i will not consider buying it at all. do you think i would have any issues with the power plug?

I dont know why you would have a problem with the power plug. You are buying it from sg right? Anyways, look at something like MSI GE40 first before deciding.

this is buying from online and ship to sg. i am just worried that they will send me a us plug. i seen msi GE40 before and did consider about it before but i just love the design of razer blade -.-

the us plug is no issue. just buy those adaptor very cheap. in fact i prefer us plug. take up less space.

I think u need use forwarder + get taxed on your item right? will add up to quite a lot.

I not sure need forwarder a not but I tried checking out the estimated shipping only 10 plus sgd. Don't know how true is it. I did select sg region as well so I am not sure about it.

Also, have you checked if razer carries international warranty? If it doesn't, replacement may be troublesome

yes they do carry international warranty. An email replied from the support team

Yet another reason to go with msi/aftershock. Only people who have too much money to spare or people who doesnt know what msi is buys a razer blade. My friend's razer blade pro had problems with motherboard, sent it for repair at razer and the price tag back was over 1k FOR A MOTHERBOARD. They take the scams too far.
Edit: Shouldn't the repair have been free since its still under warranty? Motherboard problems isn't the user's issue.

Not sure if it supports a 2nd msata ssd since i dont know anyone stupid enough to open their razer blade to void their warranty. however, the ssd that comes with the laptop is in msata formfactor.
