Buying replacement batteries for DIY replacement

Hi there!

I know how to change the battery of my Huawei phone, so I am looking to buy a battery to replace.

Ideally I want it to last long.

I see online there are some 3rd party batteries that hold a larger capacity than the standard battery. Do they work?

What are the good 3rd party battery makers? Is Nohon a good brand?

Huawei's service center offers battery replacement at a reasonable price.
$19 if I didn't remember wrongly for Mate20x. Can check using the Huawei Support App, and go to Spare Parts.
First weekend of the month is service day. No service charge. Else, there's a $40 service charge.

For that price, I think it would be better to get genuine battery than to get unknown source batteries online.
Even $59 is a good price for a genuine battery.

Its not that expensive to replace directly with Huawei anyway and for all the hassle, i will just pay huawei to do it.

never really trusted all these random battery brands, they can market dragon but end up come out not even a mouse in terms of performance.

Change your own if you dont want to reset your phone.

Gumtree has a local seller for mobile phone batteries.

as long as your phone is in working condition and within warranty, Huawei can replace the battery FOC for you

Rear casing is glass meh? I think is just aluminum casing rite?

Anyway I changed it liao.

I can attest it is made of glass, because it ever cracked on me

I see.... makes sense then, cos I did find the casing quite hard. Anyway, I think the precaution to remove the casing is first to remove the 2 screws that are on each side of the charging port, then should be no problem.

If dunno got these 2 screws that needed to be removed, I think one who tries to remove the casing forcibly probably crack the casing.
