Buying Thinkpad from US

Previously we can buy via Amazon checkout but not anymore it seems. Also comgateway, vpost, etc. addresses are rejected. Is there another way?

Have not tried it but according to Lenovo's sales rep, they don't send to that address.

Is it substantially cheaper than Singapore for you to attempt to buy it overseas? Remember that it will attract 7% GST even if you declare it as a gift. And so factor that in as well in comparing the price with that in Singapore, if this is relevant.

Yes, even with GST and courier charges, it is still cheaper there. But dont buy the latest models that dont offer discounts. If there are seasonal sales like Black Friday, the price could be cheaper by around 30%.

If you want to be able to service your ThinkPad here in Singapore Lenovo, you better check, double check and triple check with Lenovo Singapore to ensure that the overseas warranty is acknowledge here even thou it is a International warranty set.

So far, I got a friend with a ThinkPad which is US warranty started from 2012 (3 years) which he claim still able to service in Lenovo Singapore, so I cannot confirm if the above rumors are true or not as I have never own a overseas ThinkPad myself.
