Depends you want speed or budget friendly.

If want speed, be willing to pay. Cheap supercar speed

Supercharger price is $0.59-.63/kwh.
Cheaper than SP And charge way faster.

As a Tesla owner, I will say none.

Tesla no 10y warranty and going heavily into subscription model. No waze. HUd expansion or feature is based on Elon's mood.

thanks, will test drive both when it's possible
moi going to use solar to charge the car at home

Do you need the speed? If you don’t, you can literally get the same car for a steal, if 5.9 secs is not important to you.

I tested the Cat A model 3 before and it is no slouch. So I believe that while it is listed at 9.6 secs , it is speedy enough for day to day drive.

You save around 26k at the onset and another 24k of road tax. That’s 50k off over 10 years.

Most of the Tesla owners buy the car for the feel of the drive. 50k more for 5.9 secs is high. But last time, people pay more to get the WRX STI or WRX over the normal Impreza. So speed does carry a premium.

Question is whether it is 50k of difference in the feel. Only you can answer it.

actually don't need the speed, it's just to fetch children to school replacing the family mazda 5

range also 466km, probably incline to Y110

Tesla effective range around 330 only.
Unless you drive like a tortoise and is proud of that, should have no problem getting that to 380.

Since you have solar shouldn't have problems

Mine slightly slower but it's fine...

Please don't take all those figures as you see from the manufacturers and providers...

Real world speeds varies.. there are the conditions of the chargers(dirty contact points), lower amperage and higher resistance from different variables. It is in theory anyone can get those charging speed figures..

in real world conditions?? :o

By the way..I still got a Toyota dyna and 430i to drive :o

Which model you driving? When I tested the new Y, the short ride of 5 pax only took 15.4kw/100km. That’s with some acceleration to test the pick up. Based on calculations, can hit above 428km. Maybe the new Y indeed has better efficiency as stated. Also do you use 1 pedal drive?

On Facebook, I see 2 groups of consumption experience. One group like you and the other group who said they can easily hit above 400km. Am guessing that aircon temp could be one difference.

I see posts that says that Xpeng can reach as low as 12kw/100km. But during the test drive, I clocked 19.5kw/100km. And that test drive I didn’t even drive very fast. Based on that, can only hit 338km. But yet on forums, many say they can exceed 400km. Others clock only 300 plus.

So without driving both for pro longed periods, I came to the conclusion that Tesla and Xpeng are both rather efficient, as compared to BYD. Would be happy to hear your experience.

Means can low ball then show video of him saying 30-50% off
When my friend sent me the video, I thought wow so nice, can buy EV so cheap and went on a hunt on SgCarmart. Ended up being disappointed. People like him talk big only and talk to serve his purpose. If not, how to sell the ICE cars in his inventory

You got 3phase at home? Just go 3phase 22kwh easier... But must make sure your wirings at home rated for it

I very tempted to go solar too .. now must see gov wanna give grant or incentive.

You'll have to get a similar size battery to charge it up then run off the charge to the ev. People actually repurpose Tesla batteries for that but not for anything practical other that proof of concept.

Image housing and charging a >75kwh battery to store daylight charge at your home! You will need charge controller and a charging output that goes into your car. Easily 40 to 50k or more if you getting licensed lew technician to do it. Then you need permits too even for your own home. Sibei troublesome one. Not worth.

Just like hainanese chicken rice... Just go buy eat if you wanna... No need to really go cook everything yourself.

Model Y RWD. I off aircon 1. Imagine with AC. If at 15.4kw/100km confirm won't get 428.

You need to include your air conditioning, car camera, sentry, etc etc

My car when buy only showing 425.

I see the main problem Sentry mode. It drains 10-15% per day.

Many Tesla owners ended up turning off sentry mode as it uses so much power. Some one did a calculation. It is better for you to buy dash cam as the electric cost of the sentry mode is higher than the dash cam when parked.

Most of them will only keep it on in risky places, eg when they drive to Malaysia. Other than that, they recommend to keep it off.

Mine is turned off during park it is only running during drive.

I lazy to explain further. You can buy 1 to determine if it is achievable realistically. We should stick to Sealion here.

Just know that if you want all the bells and jingles, your battery will suffer.

Clear objective, do take note that the 110kw model Y will have difficulty to overtake those 1.6L cars while traveling at NSHY, if you have no such use case then that is good.

This is a case of $200K with a locked down balls squeezed car versus 15K+extra $2K progressive usage cost with a full spec versatile model Y .
