C.E.H Course and exam

Hi guys,
anybody knows with this course what kind of jobs one is able to get?
i went to jobstreet and jobsdb. and typed out c.e.h but only a few jobs came up
any idea this is considered as security jobs?
are they / will this course be in demand? and what kind of pay?

Clements, I do know how much is the CEH course. I guess it is 1 to 2k.

My advice is to go for the Sans courses. They are expensive but much more recognised and you really get the chance to show your knowledge via a gold paper. This will be useful if you are considering a switch I your career.

You can safely forget about CEH, not recognized in the industry!

certifications are based on your future employer. What deem as useful, will not be consider as good to another employer.

Just a heads up, CEH is recognized by Interpol (digital security side). I posted a forum thread in hardwarezone before but that thread seem to be remove. It is on par with SANS certifications.

CEH is also one of the reasons that help me to land on my first security job.

A certificate will carry no weight if the person don't intent to use it.

Go for Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) by ISACA.

This will train you from scratch. Don't bother about the certification recognition when a person cannot do their primary job.

Don't forget, ISACA is a reputated in Security world. Simply don't stop at the basic of CSX and you will be there some day.

You may be slammed for CSX but nobody will slam you for ISACA.

I just got connected back by one of my old course provider. I heard that above 40 and wish to attend CEH, this course is free for local (Singapore) as you will be funded as well as by using the $500 that the government given to you.

I did not pop much into the information. If any one wish to attend, I can share the sales contact with you. Most likely it is a free course

guess experience is more impt... but at least a cert can help increase your chances by a bit for interviews

I also got my CEH from new horizons. TS should have done a search on "new horizons" on this forum before he signed up.

CEH is a good to have but basic cert. It will boost ur resume up comparing to others. Might land u in a entry level security job only.
