Hi

The #2 post shows the voltage/current consumption of 5V/1.5A (7.5W) by the SSD.

I'm going to use the MS Surface Pro 3 which only has 1xUSB 3.0 port. Can tell me how to prevent data corruption/loss when the SSD consumes more than 0.9A as required by the USB 3.0?

Whereas SAMSUNG 850 PRO SSD consumes a maximum of 3.3W. Dividing by 5V will give a maximum current draw of 0.66A which is less than that from a USB 3.0 port.
