"call ended" when i make outgoing calls?

Does anyone have this problem? I have a singtel prepaid hicard and whenever i try to make an outgoing call it immediately says 'call ended'. Tried it on 3 phones and same problem. The card is still valid till end of the year, and i can receive incoming calls and SMS.
