camera for baby

Hello,

After looking at the amazing photos done in a studio and the crappy ones I had with my Ricoh and phone, it is time to get an equipment that is easy to capture sharp photos of my baby.

Any recommendations?

- Take Baby photos
- Easy to use
- Fast snap snap minimum waiting time, don't want to miss a shot
- If possible light to carry it around (if the trade off is it is light but not so easy to use and not fast enough I will prefer the top2)
- budget 1k

Take Baby photos - most DSLR will suffice, but you need some understanding of how to make it fast, ISO/shutter/aperture.

Easy to use - They are all easy to use, just that would the output please you.

Fast - low to mid end DSLRs will give you slight delay when you depress the button to getting the image and recorded to card. Speed of card does matter at times.

How do you define light?

Need to be realistic in requirements... it's like asking for 2L engine, 22" wheels, german/euro car safety, but priced like Cherry QQ and preferably free parking in HDB and expecting it to be faster than a 6L turbo/super-charged engine.

Decent DSLR at 1K is not too low, it's the requirements that you have that comes with it.

That's a mirrorless camera. And you can get a shot of the baby with the fastest AF and FPS, but you cannot stop motion blur.

IC, geta Sony RX100M2. Good enough for your need.

A studio means controlled conditions so lighting and everything else can be adjusted by the photographer anytime. Just about any camera that can trigger strobes when used correctly can deliver quality photos after some post processing work.

Unless you really know what you are doing, i recommend the cheaper Panasonic Fz200 with constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the range for everyday use. Once you learn to use shutter priority, freezing baby`s movements are easy.
