Camera recommendations needed!

I need a camera just for leisure purpose, mainly i would like to shoot portraits and landscape.

1) Nikon D750 (i love the battery life of this monster, will pair with a 50mm)

2) Sony A7III (i love the quick autofocus of this beauty)

2) Olympus Pen F (i love this sexy look)

and comments would be hepful!

Fuji XT-30 with 35/1.4 for both since you favour 50mm for everything

If you want to go wider for landscape, can go with the 10-24 lens & the 56/1.2 for portraits

All these looks great, but still not too use to mirror less, battery life is 25% of a dslr

This is A7 III battery life.

Approx 610 shots viewfinder and approx 710 shots LCD monitor.

But current sony promp is you got free another original battery so total of two battries would have above 1000 shots almost same as full frame dslr.

If you want to stick with a FF DSLR and Nikon D750, then go with the 85/1.4G for portraits and the 17-35/2.8 or 16-35/4 for landscape ..

Or you can go with satki edmwer favourite - the 15mm Laowa

I have heard good reviews for the 85mm 1.4G, but im not a professional. Maybe a 50mm 1.8G will do.

Any prime lenses for landscape instead? Thank you Sir!

I use a mix of prime lenses from 17mm to 85mm for landscape. It depends on composition. Landscape does not always equate to the stretched look of wide lenses. A telephoto shot can give more intimate impact of far away subjects.

If don’t want to get the 85/1.4G, can get the 85/1.8G - easier for portraiture & not pocket busting like the 1.4

As to prime lenses for landscape, no recommendations other than the two mentioned earlier.

You start thread in edmw post a few pics of what you consider “landscape” and let Nikon shooters give you their recommendations ...

Sounds like 85mm is a must!

Why need to define what lenses to be used? I use 17-35mm for portrait, 16mm FE I also use for portrait.

Landscape, I ever used 70-200mm before also.

The definition is to kick-start the thinking process on lenses instead of the camera body.

I would say I have missed "opportunities" because of lenses, e.g. especially when it was not possible to "move". And I have gotten "opportunities" because of the right lenses e.g. photographing small swimming birds in enclosures - smartphone cameras just don't cut it.
