Camera upgrade recommendation.

I'm using a GF1 now. Time to upgrade as I'm going to take some northern lights pic.

Was looking into Panasonic DMC-G5 & Olympus OM-D E-M1 as they are weatherproof / freezeproof. The weather there is going to be like -10 to -20 deg Celsius.

Budget below 1k. Any recommendation appreciated.
