Does the current rules allow this?

Why don't the opposition parties form a coalition?

How do they get together for rallies if each have slightly different position on matters to run a GRC ?

Different parties, I dun think so, unless they register a party of alliances. Singapore Democratic Alliance is one such registered party of alliances rite, where member parties contest under the SDA banner.

But a group of individuals, still can without registering, if I'm not wrong.

Sure why not, SDP proposed this before ... they proposed to send their candidate to parliament and let the other party manage the Town Council :s8:
