Thanks for input guys. So use dp instead of the hdmi provided is better right?
Anyway the graphics card is gtx 1060 so don’t think can drive 144hz.
Yes. I read reviews and complaints that display port cable is not provided for this monitor. That’s why.
I also need free sync/g sync compatibility to work.
I mainly play overwatch only.

If it is a 1080p monitor, it can go up to 240Hz. I am using HDMI to connect to my BenQ monitor running at 240Hz now.
But for the BenQ, it does not have G-Sync and FreeSync since I am depending on the ULMB. But I've been playing multiple online games on it with no tearing. 240Hz ftw.
Wa bro... you so power 240 hz. What graphics card?
To be honest I am used to gaming on 2k 32 inch monitor.
Right now is for my grandma house com so is only 27 inch 1080p, not sure what kind of graphic card I should use to drive it etc.
Thanks guys. Read that although only got free sync support, g sync works fine.
So wanted to prevent screen tearing. As I only play overwatch mainly so it should be ok. Just worried that gtx 1060 cannot drive 144hz on 1080p which is why I wanted to incorporate the g sync function.
In my own house I use rtx 2060 and LG 32gk850 g full g sync monitor. So I have never experienced screen tearing etc. Not sure how good is this msi monitor etc.
Wrong question. You should ask 'what game's?
Even the upcoming GTX 3080 or Big Navi won't be able to run modern games at 240fps
