Do you plan to carry it around? If so get something lighter with longer battery life. If not Legion 5 is great.

What games you wanna play? Need a dedicated GPU to be honest even if light gaming. Also see if you can find 1 TB SSD?

Max is 512GB SSD. Checking out for a friend.

In terms of gaming, I think he said just light gaming. He's not the type who will chase after 60fps @ Ultra Settings that type. That's why I figured integrated Vega graphics should be good enough.

Hey there, you might want to look for the Aftershock Apex15R lite. It comes with a GTX1650 and 120Hz screen for just over $1200 (with 16GB RAM). the CPU is a 6 core R5 H series processor. It is currently in their ready to ship page, which means u could get it today if u order now haha
also, I think gaming laptops like this one have much more bang for the buck.
Any light games will be able to make full use of the 120Hz screen. Anyways, windows will look so much better at 120Hz (mouse movement, desktop, etc)

Asus Vivobook is not bad. I remember recently during window shopping saw one model running on ryzen 4500U processor and its pretty light for day to day work. Last i checked seems to have limited set discount. Around 849 if im not wrong
