Can request a bank to disable Paywave?

My parents damm worried that their Paywave on their credit cards be used to steal money.

Possible to disable?

isnt the risk the same if you lose your credit cards ?
someone who picked up the credit card can still use it for signature based txn which merchants don check signatures anyway.

if scared of fraudsters using scanning devices, buy them a RFID protected wallet.

check bills and complain. as long as your credit card is not lock by pin / fingerprint and stuff. the bank and credit card will cover most of the thief charges.

there is a minimum charge they can take from account holder but often not worth PR and pain so they usually waives it.

(My 1 cent worth from a couple of incident)
