Can this be repaired?

If my iPhone got problem detecting wifi, is it possible to repair? N if i change the motherboard together with wifi chip, will the phone still works? the imei will change, if i plug into computer, will it work? a new motherboard should not have any firmware inside rite?

Rashkae have ans your question. Iphone simple break up is just only 4 part. screen, mainboard, batt and the casing. mainboard will be wifi, gsm chip and memory... Changing the mainboard usually will need to disconnect the power and thing that store inside the memory most of the time will be lost. And usually after repair, will require to flash the ios once. The whole process will cost $400 plus and part are those "used part from iphone" and mostly 1 month warrenty.

IF you insist, there is no problem activating from itunes.

What wifi detection problem do you have? My iPhone 5S got problem detecting weaker wifi signals, but no problem detecting my home wifi. Brought to Singtel, end up it is some rogue app causing it, so reset the phone. Now my phone is able to detect more wifi networks, thus freeing up the limited 2gb free 4g data.

If your wifi is greyed/blanked out because of upgrading to iOS 7 or 7.1, u can try calling Apple helpdesk to ask for a 1-to-1 replacement even if your warranty period is over.
