Can this dual dac setup work?

Wa pro! Thanks for input. I have never use any enhancement or surround for music ever. Sounds so wierd. But these are a must if I am watching on my 4k TV or playing games. I will follow your setting advices thanks!

Edit: able to use 24bit 96k hz format with no stutter or lag is the best upgrade I feel.

NP, I used SB since Audigy - >Xfi - >Soundcore

Nice, I have not thought of using a preamp. That focusrite can used to record for guitar? Now u get me itchy fingers haha. Thanks for the recommendation, I will think about that when I have more personal time to play my music.

Driver you mean? I own both Omni Surround and the X-fi premium music. Difference isn't that obvious but X-fi does sound much crisp than Omni.
X-fi is music while Omni is surround.
But at that price for premium music can go for that sound interface instead.
Yes can use with guitar.

Hmm i should have go compare the sound difference of X-fi and omni first, thats my bad.

Hmmm actually can't you just use your omni's amp? It should work hence no need to waste money to repair.

What do you mean? My Audioengine A5+ spoilt, almost no sound or very low volume no matter what i pluck it into. The amp or board inside i think up lorry....

I have a question, now whenever i stop a song or play a song my Audioengine d1 dac will have the clicking sound. Any idea?

Edit: Oh ok... clicking sound is the D1 dac keep disconnecting and reconnecting, i had to switch around the usb port and its ok...

Check power saving mode.

Hi i got my AE5 speakers back, the cost to repair is $140 which is pretty high i feel, the capacitors are blown.

i have an issue tho, when there is sound my Audioengine D1 dac is working fine but once there's no sound it will keep disconnecting. When i play a song it will disconnect and reconnect again. Anyone have this issue?

Seems fair... a dead pair of A5 is around maybe $150, a live pair is around $300. Plus how many $ per hour you think workers should be paid.

The click is from a relay. It disconnects when it's not receiving input from optical, and reconnects when there is. There are a few other DACs like this.

You can try "SPDIF keep alive". If that works, maybe play around with your sound card drivers to make SPDIF not turn off when it's silent.

Edit: Oh nice, i did a search and download the program, it works! Thanks! Using the smallest program i can find so it does not use too much cpu process.

Now everything is back to normal lol thanks everyone for your input, i learn quite alot. Time to enjoy my music =D
