Can upgrade version for iPhone 4

Anyone know wat is the max version for iPhone 4.
Did not update before
Wish to upgrade cause can't download a lot of games n application like watsapp n wechat too.
If can where can I upgrade it

Max. iOS version for iPhone 4 is iOS 7.1.2.

Whatsapp requires 4.3 and up - you can download Whatsapp from the App Store
Wechat requires 5.0 and up - you can download Wechat from the App Store

The upgrade would not slow down the phone too much.

Plug in your iPhone to iTunes, backup your iPhone first, just in case if anything goes wrong. Click the 'Update' button in iTunes. Let iTunes to do it's stuff. After some time, it will be completed.

Use itunes upgrade. I am using iOS7.1.2 for my iphone 4. Slight slow down but not too bad.

Gonna change the case and upgrade to a tempered glass screen protector and it will feel like a different phone.

I try but it indicate my apple Id did not register with the I tunes n it also show need to update to latest version first.

ITunes is installed in your pc not on your iphone and it serves as a medium to update,backup,download apps and sync with your phone. Usually it will auto push update on it's own. Like tec_geek says latest version is 11.4.

How's your battery life now? My 4s is still OK running on 7.1.2 but the battery can only last about half a day at most. Thinking of either changing the battery or buying the 6.

I think good idea to get a new phone instead. I keep my iphone 4 for rugged use and mp3 in gym.

I notice battery draining abit more but could be also due to battery not keeping charge. Anyway, the 6 is an enough of an upgrade up from the 4 series.
