Since the Optical Media subforum is long gone...
Want to do experiment w.r.t. 24p videos on modern day TV, and I need a device that can output 24p with 24p video. In my house only PS3 does that via HDMI, and only supports that with Blu-ray.
But I don't have a Blu-ray burner, only DVD.
During the era of DVD cum CD, we had CVD which uses DVD-compatible format on CD media, and it works on most DVD players like a DVD with less storage. So I'm wondering if the same thing works with BD.
