If you had been invited to book a flat but did not do so even though there were units available, you have rejected a chance to book a flat. You will incur a non-selection count and all your ongoing flat application(s) will be cancelled.
if your queue number is way beyond the number of units available for selection, then chances of selecting an unit will be very slim and it will be "automatically cancelled"Anyone knows what happens if you cancel a flat application? My ballot number is more than double the available number. Is there a penalty if I cancel my flat application? I cannot find any concrete information on this.

No, I mean cancelling before being asked to select. Given the high ballot number, it is likely there is unfavourable units left.
I have read this https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/r...for-new-flats/application?anchor=cancellation. It says there is no penalty during "sales launch" but I dont know how this is defined. Is it still a "sales launch" period when I cancel after receiving my ballot number?
Looks clear to me, which I had already provided the info.Ya their policy seems a bit vague.
Yes also make some people to bid for less popular projects instead of people chiong for prime areasThis was a recent policy change made HDB and I kinda buy into its idea. It prevents people from anyhow applying, which opens up more chance to others who need it.
If in the slightest chance that you receive 2 invites for 2 different projects in the same period, what happens you if reject the first selection, and are you still able to select a flat for the second project (1.5 week after the first project), given that you prefer the later project over the earlier one.
Alternatively are you able to select 2 projects and then cancel one of them later for this situation?
Is it anyhow apply? I thought ppl say got more supply than demand lei. Why I keep seeing ppl complaining ballot number very far. But one end ppl say many kicking the bucket and got excess supply.
