Sometimes depend on the security personnel, some not that strict. Also, not flying to/from USA, might not be so strict either. Put in 1 quart zip lock bag can go through too, esp if your friend already have the 1 quart bag for her own stuff.

You can bring liquid items onboard, only if their bottle size is 100ml and under. This means that you can bring a few 100ml bottles. So... either your friend has to split the cleanser into 100ml bottles or he will have to discard it/mail back to sg. The security will see bottle size and not liquid amount. If your bottle exceeds 100ml, there has to be no contents inside it.

That's true, and you also can't bring so many.
The few bottles that are max 100 ml, shld be able to fit into a clear plastic ziplock bag.

Some airports like those in London are very strict! Will make you unpack your toiletry bag and then pack it into the ziplock bag to make sure it fits, and then scan it again.

All because of that toothpaste bomber!

I once had a staff that stole my EUR coins. I had 5 x 2 EUR coins coming in from my flight and connecting back home to Singapore. I put them into the plastic bin to pass the xray scanner, together with my other things. The staff then packed the coins into a plastic bag.

Come out the other side of the Xray machine - only 2 coins were left! I was like really annoyed but I was really tried after a 12 hour flight and my connecting SIN flight was departing soon. Literally stole my money in front of my face.

It's really sad as most Thai people are really nice but this incident makes me distrust them somewhat.

Ya I also think Thai pple are v friendly but that particular trip I got avert bad experience to n fro from the airport staff .. One even shouted at my mum as my mum can't get what she trying to say .. Once I chip in saying I wanna speak to her sup .. Her sup oso another one .. Just say sorry sorry then signal us to leave ... Damn rude ... Another is the cuming back, showed us the "stuck up" face and throw my stuff into the bin...
