Cannot detect external 2.5 inch hdd

Hi,

My WD passport 1Tb hdd cannot be detected on my computers (tried multiple comps). How may I go about troubleshooting it? Is this the right place to ask or should I go to the storage clinic?

tried changing USB cable itself yet ?

3 causes:
1. usb cable
2. usb casing
3. HDD

There is nothing much you can do if after changing the cables and trying different computers.

If data is important you'll have to seek professional data recovery help or RMA if data is not important.
