Hi all, recently new online games I downloaded to play seems to not be able to run, that is Soldier Front 2 and Tera Online. For soldier front 2, after the game engine starts up my computer freezes, for tera the launcher will cause the freeze. Unable to stop or close anything so I'd have to force restart my computer. Not sure why =\ I could play Dota 2 and Rift no problem though.

Sidetrack abit, your computer is mean for photoshop or rendering? A i5 4670K cpu with a R7 graphic card, kinda not balance for graphic intensive gaming.

haha I was on a budget and my friend recommended me the r7.. He told me it was comparable to a Gtx 670? If I could I would have went with i7 and gtx760... I'm not an advid gamer but it provides me good enough graphics...

I usually only dota... It runs at max graphics so I'm fine.. rift had to lower some shadows and vertical sync... Blade and soul when I played had decent settings? still could not run shadows and fine detailing... enough for me :D

also try temp disable av, check/repair game via steam & then try running game to test again...

I would downgrade that cpu to i5 4460 and get a powerful graphic card like R9 280. Same budget as your setup but more gaming performance.

There is insignificant difference between i5 and i7. If you are going for gaming, i7 is a waste of money. You should pour more money on a graphic card instead.

Do you know that an i3 cpu with R9 280 can outperform your setup in gaming performance? It is even cheaper than you setup.

Are you been mislead by the myth that when it comes to gaming, you need i7 cpu?

I tried disabling my antivirus but it still hanged, my friend told me to try using steam to check the game files and it didn't detect anything wrong as well.. I read online it could be a bad connection frm the ram or the HDD.. Any ideas??

the board is a Z series board. which allows u to overclock, do u o/c? if u don't, its wasted. U could have just bought an H series board.

and MSI is nowhere stable, infact i used their board after 2yrs it start giving problem.

no offence but ur friend really anyhow.

I might not be correct but it might be the ram.

I could play diablo 3 but not dota2 and watch youtube videos.

Got 2 sticks of ram, tried and tested it was one of the ram that is faulty.

Was able to play dota2 and watch youtube vidoes with only one ram too.

No more issues after I changed rams.

No such things as stability. All component no matter how expensive or cheap they are will fail some point in time. It is all about luck.
