Hey everyone, I have recently changed my Acer Asprie V5-471 Harddisk to a new SSD and have tried to installing windows using a USB Bootable Drive created with Rufus.

But upon booting, the USB drive doesnt work and "No OS installed" appeared after the Acer logo. And I cant enter BIOS. Any solution????

Don't use Rufus, I use the manual method:

1. Connect the USB Flash Drive
2. Open the command prompt as administrator (Go Start> All Programs> Accessories, right click on the "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator"
3. To find out what number corresponds to the USB Flash Drive you should type the following in the window of the "Command Prompt":
Diskpart
list disk
select disk x (where x is your thumb drive letter)
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format fs = NTFS quick
assign
exit

Now you can extract the ISO into the thumb drive.

Tried recreating the USB Drive and it worked! By default rufus created it in NTSF Format, it worked when I changed to FAT32. Thanks guys!

microsoft made a program to make bootable usb
why didn't you use it rather than rufus?

Rufus actually quite easy install , I also had using
i didn't use rufus but Microsoft one is quite foolproof

from the program just choose iso and determine thumbdrive location
everything else they do for you, including erasing data/formatting thumbdrive before mounting the iso
