Canon 760D vs 70D

Which would you guys recommend and why?

would like to find out more from the others regarding this two as well.

i like the size of 70d, feels better in terms of grip compared to 760d, but also conscious about the heavier weight. SRP for both (70d with 18-55mm and 760d with 18-135mm) don't have that big a diff, so is it more worth it to go for 70d? cause i don't think i will need 135mm

760D has a newer image processor which is supposed to be better in terms of noise control in high ISO levels. In terms of sensor, it also has a higher resolution as compared to the 70D.

Thus I would say, if you are going purely for specs and image quality, the 760D might be a better grab.

The 70D however, does has its own set of merits as well (I am using the 70D). In terms of battery life, it is top notch with the much larger capacity battery as compared to the 760D. It also has a bigger view finder which is brighter IMO. I also like the fact that the weight distribution of the camera feels better when mounted on with a heavy lens. Not to forget that, the 70D has a light weather sealing body which is important to me and it also has a faster shutter speed (1/8000 vs 1/4000).

I'd go for the 760D

The 70D has only a marginally improved spec for a larger price. The 760D is quite simply the best entry-level DSLR I've ever seen. The extra specs on the 70D are only of marginal usefulness given the premium you pay for them.

Why do you say 70D?

Simply comparing specs is one thing, but the 760D is cheaper, lighter and produces just as good images. In all my years in photography I've never used 1/4000th sec shutter speed once, let alone wish I had 1/8000th

Weather sealing can be nice but if you need it, why not go for a pro body instead?

I'd rather get the 760D body now that is cheaper with the same quality now and invest in better glass that will last much longer and hold its value better. The spec differences are minimal and of very little impact in the real world for the vast majority of users.

Personally I would be more interested in someone with experience of both cameras and able to back up their opinion rather than flat out stating "70D" with no supporting evidence or opinion

A more expensive camera with better specs on paper isn't necessarily the best option if you aren't going to get your full value for money from it.
