I'm more into Canon hence I would take the EOS70D!

Yup, took the Canon EOS70d. Felt that it is more user friendly and not too steep learning curve as compared to Nikon, who is more geared to professional. Still learning on it everyday and slowly building up the necessarily accessories. =)

read somewhere the 70D compared to the Nikon counterpart, wins in most aspects including colour, exposure, video, etc.
Also the Digic 5+ takes really good videos. Only thing Nikon still better would be the dynamics and focus points. But still again, Canon's ai servio is more accurate - I wns 5-1D Canons and used Nikons

Canon XXD Series have ASP-C sensor Cameras (1.6x Crop)
eg: 70D, 60D, 50D


Nikon DXXX Series have FF sensors
eg: D800, D600, D700

Canon FF cameras: XD series (with the exception of 1D series using APS-H)
eg: 5D, 5Dmk2, 5Dmk3, 6D

1. How much is your budget ?
2. Are you technically good at camera ?
3. Does size matter ?
4. What are you shooting ?

If your a beginner, just get an entry level dslr camera. Any brand will do.

I am using Nikon D300 and 35mm lens/ 18-200mm. It works wonders. Very pleased with picture quality.
