Hey peeps, the promotion is still on. Went to trade in an old canon film camera for a 550D(kit1). The price I got was $1109. Its around 17+ percent discount from the original price of $1349. Hope this helps :)

IIRC, 60D should be part of the Canon Privilege Purchase.

When i last replaced my shutter unit with Canon, i asked the service technician on which models are eligible and according to him, L lenses and single digit DSLR are not part of the promotion itself.

They offered me 50D after i asked about the Privilege program.

So the answer is: Yes.

Hi the 60D IS NOT under the priviledge programme. Its only upto 550. Why I know was becos I went there on Fri (22/10/10) to purchase the 60D, G12 or S90. End up getting the G12 cos 60D is not eligible in this programme. U still can go down to their service cte to check if still doubtful about it.

Mmm........ I noticed that some brothers here mentioned that "L lenses" are not eligible for the program. Does that mean that if I trade in my canon camera, I am able to purchase a new camera and also a Seperate Lens at a discount???
