Can't boot up

When attempting to boot up, the fans will turn for 1sec, then shut off. Then it will automatically attempt to boot up again but fail as usual.

Have attempted to jumpstart PSU and it seem to be working fine.

Any ways to solve this issue? I suspect is the motherboard issue but there is light on the motherboard.

MB: Asus P8Z77-V LX

There's a possibility a faulty motherboard still can produce light as led only need little voltage to work but the vital parts to start CPU is faulty.

i would say use ur CPU on another working motherboard, if not u can try resetting ur motherboard first by removing the cmos battery for a few mins then putting it back.

ive had the same problem twice, first was because of bad ram. 2nd was because of bad motherboard. to test the ram u have to slot in each dimm at each slots and switch to other dimm to see if which dimm/slot is the faulty one.
