Hi guys, which graphics card is better in terms of performance and value for $?

Deciding between R9 280x, R9 285 and GTX 960 2GB...
Which brand is the best? I'm not sure of the differences between the companies

Why get old models? Beside that what are the games u are playing as well as the usage of your PC. And a lot of reviewers were saying GTX 1070 is by far one of the best value to performances ratio, just like it's GTX 970.

Lastly maybe u can give us ur budget?

1) Power consumption and heat;
2) Driver issues with games;
3) DX11 game performance

Judging from your performance requirement and budget, I highly recommend the GTX 1060 if you can wait for another 2 months or so.

The GTX 1070 will be way beyond your budget.

However if you cannot wait, then the GTX 960 isn't a bad deal by itself.

U are getting the latest architecture and manufacturing process (14/16nm) vs all the old chips (28nm)

Compute performance is same or better than 290/390 which is better than 960

Power consumption also about half of those cards

Of course all this is what AMD claims. hv to wait for ppl to benchmark the real thing

its suppose to be out end june so put ur cash in ur bank for 20 days... and then another 30 days for sim lim to receive stock
