I think you better off searching for a good credit card promotion rather than the cheapest petrol in Singapore. Prices won’t vary much. Besides isn’t Pasir Ris in Singapore?

I am asking the person whom posted the suggestion not to quote a place out of Singapore. Is this ridiculous?

I thought someone said that the petrol price is the same regardless where the station location. Then I do not need to drive to Pasir Ris if I stay in the west, right?

then you need to ask a more realistic question... if you stay in the west, then i tell u that pasir ris station is the cheapest, are you going to drive there? Unless you drive a car with 150litre tank, it does not make economical sense.

I never said Pasir Ris is not in Singapore. Please check the earlier postings as it suggested Qatar, Bahrain and Brunei. Are these new places in Singapore?

Well, he can always pump there if he happen to be around that area right. There is no hum to tell if that's actually the cheapest right?

Some actually offer more constructive information and suggestion. May be you can learn from them.

It has to be Singapore Petroleum Company (SPC) which also has tie-ups with UOB Cards and POSB Everyday Cards to offer the cheapest petrol.

Yes, in term of pump price (before discount), SPC seem to be always 1 to 2 cents cheaper then other brand.
But my experience is their fuel also burn up faster (ie less mileage). It may be car dependant.

yea, i tried it out before on 98, pumping full tanks from each brand.
might be different for you guys but Shell & Caltex gave me the best mileage.

1. Shell/Caltex (10% more mileage than Esso)
2. Esso
3. SPC (10% less mileage than Esso)

In the end stuck with Esso due to proximity and Esso DBS card.
Shell/Caltex prices are slightly higher than Esso.

My Dad’s car gets lesser mileage on Esso vs SPC. I really think it’s car dependent. So do try all brands before sticking with one.

My car has same like as you. SPC had the lowest score for some reason.

I heard that SPC petrol makes the car less power. Not sure how true.
Caltex gives up to 18% discount upfront with OCBC card.
SPC gives up to 20.1% but 6% is rebate. Also not sure how the rebate works.
Btw, Shell only offers 14% discount!

The 6% rebate is awarded to POSB Everyday Mastercard only.
So, if the nett price of $100 after 15% discount, $6 is awarded to the POSB card.

The next time you go back with the same card, the cashier will ask if you want to redeem $6. In my opinion, to enjoy maximum savings, it is better NOT to redeem on the spot (or at any retailers) but to redeem it on DBS/POSB website (minimum $10) to offset the credit card bill.

i does that weekly rebate of $5-$6 on each pump of 92. Sometime feel sluggish on 98 and super lack on power when pumped V-power (malaysia) - only manage to get back original performance after clearing the V-power and top up with 92. Its a 11yrs old stream. :D

I pumped $50 worth of petrol yesterday. The fuel efficiency went up to almost 23km/l, as compared to 12km/l when I pumped full tank. Why better fuel efficiency when pumped lesser? I am using the IGottaFuelling app. Any better app that I can use?

Use the conventional way of calculating fuel consumption, all these meter reading are never accurate.

There is no way you can achieve 23km/L unless you are driving a hybrid.
