I am no scientist.

From a doctor's advise, catering to specific diet is never ever good.

Vegetarian, keto, canivore...etc.

Everything must be balanced.

Variety and portion control more important.

Anecdotal: The old people around me (grandparents, grand uncles) those that manage to stay healthy, usually have very balanced diet. 有肉,多菜,少盐,少糖,少油. 少 doesn't mean eliminate.

Those that gimmick one... usually doesn't help. Worst case, kana worse medical problem.

Everything in moderation.

Doubt most SG people who follow this eat good grass-fed and organic meat. Likely eat all the nonsense roast pork, char siew, chicken rice with lots of unhealthy fat.

Question is will it be the right diet for humans then so called balanced diet?
And what's balanced diet?
There are seven essential factors for a balanced diet: carbs, protein, fat, fibre, vitamins, minerals and water.🤔

Quantities to consume varies from individual to individual as well.😌

Roast pork is part of LCHF if i remember correctly 🤔

Char siew is coated with sugar so people avoid unless they are out of options.🤔

Chicken rice without rice ask for more cucumber also a good option 🤔

What is your purpose if doing this type of diet? This is the first question you have to ask yourself.

Most of the time, people want to lose weight.

The only way to lose weight is calorie deficit. No fancy word, no fad diet, no short cuts. Just eat lesser calories than your TDEE

If you do this carnivore diet but your intake is 3000 cals per day, you still will get fatter

if you do it but your intake is 1200cals, you probably will lose weight

all these keto, LCHF, int fasting, carnivore, military.. all boils down to : Can you sustain this type of lifestyle/eating habit? If not, it will just be a matter of time before you give up and all will be back to square one

U look at the animal kingdoms, all the pure meat eaters lead a short life. Animal fuel is not as efficient of a energy as plant. While it may gives u short term results, long term don't look promising.

U look at centurians, don't have any pure meat eaters. All of them diet is majority plants. It says alot. Results don't lie. Don't buy into hyped diets.

I would say all things in moderation.
But definitely no processed food and
that includes vegetables oils as well as
Limiting carbs / glucose intake.
